If you are new to golf then you are going to be wondering what golf club sets to buy as there seems to be a lot of choice out there on the market. However, when you are just starting out there are a few different rules you should adhere to about which ones to buy.
There is simply no point in you splashing out on an expensive set as you have no idea if you are actually going to keep playing the game or not. You are therefore much better either getting a very cheap set or even look at the second hand clubs that may be for sale at your golf club.
There is also no point in you trying to buy all of the expensive drivers and putters that claim they can help your game in a number of ways. You really need to be working on your swing and trying to get some kind of technique going so you do not need those fancy clubs to start with.
Do make sure you buy your clubs from a good source and know the length of club that you are going to need so get yourself measured. If your clubs are the right length then you are going to hit the ball better as you are doing it at your natural height.
It is worthwhile getting a loan of some clubs and go to a driving range and see how you feel in swinging them. They should sit comfortably in your hand and should not feel too heavy for you so you can control them better.
When you have been playing the game for some time and you are still enjoying it you can then see about getting different clubs. Do just take care as it is very easy to get carried away and spend a lot of money trying to emulate the professionals when the truth of the matter is you are very unlikely to reach those kinds of standards.
